Two great hotel deals!
We've negotiated great rates at two hotels: the Hartford Plaza Hotel (formerly called the Sheraton) and the Marriott Residence Inn. The Plaza is extending our deal so we recommend you act immediately to lock in an excellent rate which we are very lucky to have in the spring travel season!
Special Deal at the Hartford Plaza!
We have negotiated a special deal for our attendees of $79 a night at the Hartford Plaza, which is 1.6 miles from the conference venue. Presenters, staff and many guests will be staying here. This hotel is recently renovated and has super-comfy beds. It also has free parking for all guests. Address is 100 East River Drive in East Hartford.
Many of you know this hotel under the name Hartford Sheraton; it is the same place, but has since been renamed and is no longer part of the Starwood chain.
The conference starts with a play party Friday at 8:00 p.m. and runs through Sunday at 3:00 p.m. We expect most people will stay Friday and Saturday night, but if you want to arrive early or stay a day longer, the rate is good for Thursday and Sunday too.
This deal is being extended a few more days, but there are only a limited number of rooms left. Currently, there are only rooms with King beds left. Grab them while they last! If your plans change, room reservations must be canceled by 6:00 p.m. the day prior to your arrival.

Marriott Residence Inn
For spacious accommodations with full kitchens, another option is the Marriott Residence Inn, 942 Main Street in Hartford, 1.6 miles from the conference venue. If you want your own kitchen for the weekend, this is the place! We had negotiated a special rate of $129 for up to two people and $139 for 3-4 people. That deal expired, but it is possibly if you call quickly the hotel will still honor it.
Call 1-800-331-3131 to reserve! Use the group code of QUPQUPD if you have 3-4 people in your room and QUPQUPA if you have 1-2 people in your room. Please respect the rules and use the cheaper rate only if you have two or fewer people!
This deal includes free continental breakfast (7:00-10:00 a.m. on weekends) and a special parking rate for our group of $5 a day, down from the typical rate of $16; mention this at check-in to make sure they don't forget.
Reservations at this hotel must be canceled 72 hours before arrival to receive a refund.
